The Calorex Monitair dehumidifiers are floor-standing high-performance and high-capacity dehumidifiers. With high moisture extraction for low energy use, as well as being corrosion-free and easy to clean, they are ideal for keeping your swimming pool environment healthy and the humidity under control.

Calorex Monitair Dehumidifiers will help prevent condensation damage from occurring. These units are extremely reliable and energy-efficient. They use heat pump technology to convert the moisture into heat and will, therefore, reduce the need for your boiler, dry the environment quickly, and also reduce your water evaporation.

Options are also available for the Monitair 75 and 110 units to be fitted as through-the-wall (TTW) models. These can be fitted outside the pool hall to be more aesthetically pleasing and when space is limited inside the hall.

Features:

Hot gas defrost (allows operation to 5°C air temperature) – standard on all models
High moisture extraction for low power consumption
Corrosion-free, easy-to-clean aluminum air grille with easy clean air filter
Low internal operating pressures = long useful life
Adjustable air outlet
Quiet centrifugal fans, two speeds
Variable remote humidistat and on/off function
Optional through-the-wall model
Through-the-wall models include duct and grille kit
Simple floor-standing installation
Standard models are finished in smooth white-coated alloy
Air heating capacities assume an 80OC LPHW supply
A motorised 3-way valve is built-in to units fitted with an air heating facility
Dehumidification capacities listed assuming pool water @ 28OC, pool hall air @ 30OC, RH @ 60%

What are Dehumidifiers?

An indoor swimming pool is a wonderful leisure and exercise environment, but there are many important factors to consider when planning and designing a pool. Even when you cannot see it, moisture in the form of water vapor surrounds us in the air. The humidity in the air, if not controlled, will cause corrosion, mold, and bacteria growth.

When left unchecked, moisture damage in swimming pool buildings causes major structural damage. Calorex dehumidifiers cleverly convert the energy locked up in the moisture into heat used to heat the room. The free heat recovered by dehumidification is not only “green”, but it accelerates the drying process, keeps the boiler off for longer, reduces the evaporation from the pool, and creates a warm dry environment.

Calorex dehumidifiers are exceptionally efficient, recovering the latent energy that is contained in the moisture and delivering it back to the pool hall in the form of heat. Using a Calorex dehumidifier minimises the need to introduce and heat the cold outdoor air into the pool hall to dehumidify, which can be costly.
